Hi everyone, I’m Felix and I am a 1 year old Border Collie mix and I’m so excited to be finally finding my forever home! As you can probably guess based off my breed, I am a very energetic boy looking for a home with a backyard and a family that will take me for walks or runs, play with me and bring me to the dog park. Perhaps even a home with another energetic dog would be great or some mental stimulation toys that will help keep me busy. I am dog friendly but would benefit to more exposure as some of the more dominant ones make me uneasy but unfortunately I don’t think I’d do well with cats as I try and chase all the small animals I meet. I am still easily excitable and am eager for attention so I will tend to jump or nip to try and show you love. I am working hard on not doing this but I can’t help it that I’m so excited to see you. Because of this, I think it might be best for a home with older kids, but I am kid friendly, I just need to learn my manners around them. Ever since coming to Canada, my foster dad has been working on training and I’ve been doing so great. I promise I’m a good student, you just have to remember I came from a life with no training so everything is very new to me. It helps that I’m very food motivated and eager to please because I enjoy doing it. I know my basic commands, I’m house trained and I don’t need to be crated and though I still tug while walking out of excitement but I’m improving everyday. Foster dad says I am a smart, affectionate boy who absolutely loves everyone and is excited for life. I am a hard worker who is training to be the best boy possible, and all I want to do is spread my love to everybody I meet.
