Hello, My name is Onyx and I am not a very big girl. I weigh about 20 lbs. My foster mom calls me Oni, or sweet girl. I was so scared and timid when I came to Canada but I’ve since discovered everyone is really nice here. I get treats everywhere I go. I’m still learning house training but I come when I’m called and I know how to sit and show you all the love in the world. I’m timid around busy situations but can walk the streets in the city just fine!. I walk on the leash like a perfect princess and if you stop to chat with someone I’ll sit there patiently waiting to carry on. My foster mom takes me into all the stores and I know how to behave like a good dog. At night my foster dog has allowed me to take over the bed with my foster mom and all I want to do is snuggle with her. I will go in my crate and settle there too. I have met a couple cats and I can say they are super scary to me! I don’t know what they are but I try to make myself look big with a mohawk and bark and growl at them till they go away. In new situations I tend to be a little timid and may let out a little bark to let you know I’m a little scared.. but I’m becoming a brave girl every day and learning to conquer the world. I love my foster brother and I wouldn’t mind another but I think I would like to be the only love of your life. I tend to get a little jealous when my foster fur brother gets the attention and push him out of the way. If other dogs are in the house I’ll learn from them but a submissive dog who understands I’m still a pup would be best. I’ve learned that dog parks and walks are really fun, I tend to hang out with my foster brother and play chase and run so fast for him to catch me, once I’m comfortable I’ll venture out to meet the other doggies and if I see them more then once I think we are best friends. I would love to be in a home with older children who understand that I’m just a pup that is a little afraid and just want some snuggles. I enjoy running after the ball and toys and chasing sticks and I know that I am only allowed to chew and play with my own things. I currently am fostered in an apartment and think I would do well in any environment, while I like to go on walks and adventures I would be suited really for any home. I am spayed, microchipped and my vaccines are up to date.
