Hi! My name is Baloo! That’s right, just like the Jungle Book but it also means gentle giant, which is exactly what I am I am roughly 2-3 years old, but sometimes my foster family calls me an old man because of my very handsome and dapper looks. I didn’t have the best start to life and when the rescue in Georgia came to save me they say I was nothing but defeated. I was found with my collar embedded into my neck, my skin was rotted and I essentially had no hair. What does this mean? Well personality wise I am extremely grateful and loving to but to help physically I am on a raw diet to help with my itchy skin, and my foster Mom gives me coconut oil rubs when my skin is really itchy/sore. When I was first rescued I was a little shy with humans, but luckily I had the BEST people to look after me and show me what love truly means (all the snuggles & liver treats!). My foster family says I am such a good boy, and learning to come out of my shell a little more each day. I currently live with 2 other mid/large size dogs and I really enjoy their company, but if they are getting pets, I must demand that the human also pet me. We are working on sharing the love around and waiting my turn for pets, I just get extra excited to be loved on. I get along well with all of the dogs I’ve met so far and my foster mom thinks I would be okay with cats as I don’t seem too interested in them. Sometimes I don’t understand personal space when I’m cuddling and make sure to snuggle in reallll close, but don’t worry, I’ll thank you with all the smooches your heart can handle. Foster mom, and even previous foster mom from Georgia (that’s where I came from!) believe that I may have some hearing issues, as sometimes it takes me a minute to place where the sound is coming from. Due to this I am learning hand commands to accompany a spoken command, that way I don’t miss a thing. So far I am listening very well to my foster mom when I go for potty breaks and play outside, as only half of their yard is fenced in, but due to my hearing, unless I am being supervised outside, I would prefer a fenced in yard where I am free to explore. P.S I am loving Canada but not this chilly weather, and I hear there’s something called SNOW coming too?! …I will definitively need a winter jacket! Brrr I can’t wait to meet my fur-ever family or person, so make sure to get your applications in here: https://www.hankshaven.ca/info/adoption More about BalooGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Good with Adults
