Meet Iris, aka Irie or little boo.  Iris is the sister to Lily, and both have been fostered together. Iris currently lives with 5 foster dogs, 2 human foster siblings, and 2 foster cats whom she likes to chase to try and play with.  Iris is a little more hesitant than her sister, and requires some encouragement to go have fun.  She prefers to snuggle with her humans, but she is enjoying being able to play outside in the nicer weather. She will do well with another dog sibling who is not always in her face. She has been learning social cues from her older foster siblings, but has to continue to work on sharing, as she has not quite learnt that not everything is hers! Iris has been working hard on house training, she will go outside to do her business, but has not learned yet how to go to the door and ask, but she does understand the word “outside”. She is good at using pee pads in the house if she is not brought out in time. Crate training will need to be continued. She is kept in the crate when she is not able to be supervised, or during the work day.  At night she sleeps with her foster mom. She loves to snuggle under the blankets, and will sleep quietly until morning.  She will use a pee pad in needed during the night, then return to bed. From Iris's foster mom: "Iris is our cautious little girl.  She likes to observe situations from the safety of the couch or a human lap, before deciding to jump in.  Once she has decided that it looks like fun, she is a champion player, and loves to run around for a good game of chase or chew face.  Snuggling is her favourite thing, and she melts right in to you with her full trust."
