Bulldog / Mixed : : Female
Hi, my name is Vada and I am a 1.5 year old American Bully mix. I am a big puppy at heart and LOVE to play. I am petite at only 50lbs, but I am also a powerhouse. My best friend is a 25lb 8 month old puppy. I let her boss me around and drag me anywhere she wants. My mom says she “bullies” me, but I don’t seem to mind. I just have a hard time telling her off!!!! I grew up in a kennel. Although loved at the vet clinic I was at, I didn’t get much socialization for my 1st year of life. That causes me to take things the wrong way sometimes. I will NEVER start a fight (I’m a lover, not a fighter ), but if another dog starts one with me I will defend myself!!!! I am crate and house trained and I LOVE my crate. I walk well on a leash (unless there is a squirrel…..then I HAVE to run for it). I love, love LOVE playing but my tolerance for walks isn’t as high. I will go, but by the end my mom says I’m “dragging my a**” …..whatever THAT means. I love ALL humans. Like ALL of them. Especially the little ones that have yummy stuff all over their face!!!! I’m a kisser anyways, but I just gotta love on them little kids with all their sticky goodness!!!!! I get the zoomies though and am perfecting my “stop”, so you gotta get out of my way or be ok getting knocked over (I promise to come and kiss you until your back on your feet ). You may notice that I have no ears. Well I did when I was a baby, but they were cropped. my mom says I'm beautiful regardless but wishes I had longer ears to play with. I guess I do too as they sometimes bug me and I shake my head to make sure nothing got in them. Now this winter business has made them a bit more sensitive, but my mom makes me wear a scarf/snood over them when we walk and it's helped a lot. I love being cozy! You will also notice in some of my pictures I have cheetah spots. The vet clinic and groomer wanted to dress me up to make me more adoptable but it took a lot longer to come off then everyone expected! A note from my foster mom: "Vada is pure love. She greets you with a smile and is willing to do whatever you ask of her. She loves to snuggle and play and has been an absolute dream to train. She knows all her basic obedience and we have now graduated to more advanced training. She would do well in a home that will continue this with her and possibly pursue some sort of sport. She has WICKED drive and is SO eager to please. She is being fostered with 5 other dogs ranging in size from 80lbs to 10lbs as well as a cat. She does well with most however due to her size and inability to properly mitigate conflict herself, we recommend a home with a dog her size or a bit smaller. She is totally fine with cats and will leave them alone."
