Hi Everyone, Snow here, but foster mom calls me Snowball, because I’m like a little ball of love. I am a 5 month old husky puppy and am currently weighing in at about 45lbs, though I’ve still got a lot of growing to do. I love everything and everyone and would do great in a home with dogs, cats and kids.
I am still a puppy so I’ve still got to work on my training. I know all the basic commands, but sometimes I can be too excited to remember them. I’m working really hard at my training and I’m a very smart girl so I will catch on quickly. I do still have some accidents in the house, but I’ve improved greatly and will just need reminding to take a break from my fun and to go outside lots as I’m not very vocal when I need to go.
At night time I sleep on a dog bed in my foster mom’s room, though she shuts the door to make sure I don’t go onto any adventures. My days usually tire me out, so I am a great little sleeper and will wake you up first thing in the morning. I tried sleeping in a crate, but I hated it and just wanted to be close to my family. Speaking of the crate, I can pretty much say I don’t like it. When everyone goes out, I currently get put into one, and will cry and bark and will sometimes have accidents, but given my puppy tendencies, it’s probably the best place for me. I’m working on it, I promise, I just hate the thought of missing out on all the fun while my four legged foster brother gets to be free. Foster mom is super confident that with a little more training, I’d be a great in a free space, I just still like to get into things right now.
I am great on my leash, I like to explore while walking so I’m all over the place, but I don’t tend to pull unless I see a friend or maybe a squirrel. I love all toys, and make sure to proudly sprawl them out all over the house for everyone to see and I’ve even got the basics of fetch down!
Given my breed, I’m a pretty active girl and will need someone with a yard and time for walks and playtime as well as time to work on my basic training to make me into the best girl I can be. I’ve got lots of energy that I like to burn off with my foster brother but I do love the attention of my humans too. At the end of the day, after all that playing, my most favorite thing to do is to settle down and have lots of cuddle time.
Remember I’m still just a puppy so I’ll still have mistakes to make and trouble to get into, but if you think you are the match for me, I will bring you unconditional love and kisses.
