Hi Everyone, I’m Dax and I am a 5 year old bully/hound mix. Yes I am a tripod, but what I am missing in leg, I make up with my amazing personality.

My foster family says I am a super loving, happy, funny, clumsy and goofy love bug. I love all people of all ages! I live with a human foster brother who is 8 yrs old. I love all kids but my kisses and cuddles might to too much for really little ones. As for fur siblings, I am kind of scared cats, but good with dogs. I live with two of them now but prefer calmer ones who don't play rough because I don't like being knocked over. I do like all the attention from humans so I would be okay as the only dog too!

Speaking of cats, they call me a big scaredy cat, as I can be afraid of new things, loud noises and machines (omg vacuums are terrifying). I can be a bit shy when I meet new people, for about 30 seconds until I realise that they are going to be nice to me. Foster mom thinks I just need to build my confidence, so when I join you in my new home, make sure to be patient, especially with those scary vacuums. I am still building up strength in my single back leg, so sometimes have a hard time with stairs and often slip on tiled floor.

I am medium energy, active, great on my leash and love to be outside, however I won’t ever be a marathon runner. I am totally up for a good walk though. I do great in my crate and I sleep through the night. I LOVE to chew! Slippers are my favourite but I am working on eliminating them from my diet. So any chew toys will do, and lots of them! When I am not out for a walk, or chewing away on something my most favourite place to be is on the couch, with my head pressed as tight as I can get it into my humans' chest, while starting into their eyes. That's the best!

Disclaimer, I am currently being fostered near Napanee, so be prepared to go for a drive when it’s time to meet me. But I promise, I am more than worth it.
