Joanie here!!! I am a 9 month old petite terrier mix, currently living with 2 dogs and 2 kids, and I love to play with them all. When I am not playing I am snuggling up on whichever soft surface I can find. I really love beds, sofas, laps and every creature comfort available. My foster mom says I am very sweet and a little goofy. She and I bonded immediately, but it took a little work for me to warm up to my foster dad. Once I realized he wasn't too scary we became snuggle buddies too! Did I mention how much I LOVE to snuggle?! When I first came into foster I really didn't know how to be a puppy, but my 4-legged foster sisters have taught me how to play and I really enjoy chewing on kongs now too! We take lots of walks together and I am well mannered on the leash and even sit at corners before crossing the street. I am crate trained, although I would prefer to sleep with my humans at night. I am housetrained and have learned some basic commands, I really love food, so it makes training pretty easy. My deep love of food means that you will need to continue reminding me of proper manners, I have zero food aggression, I just want to eat everyone's food and can't be trusted not to counter surf yet. My foster mom has worked really hard and I am learning to lay on my bed while the humans eat....but sometimes the kids forget to clean up and I snag a crumb or two. When meeting new people and dogs, I can be a bit shy but if everyone is patient and gentle I will come around. I don't love car rides, sometimes it upsets my tummy, but I can handle short trips now, so hopefully I will grow out of this.
