Well hello! My name is Dexter, I am just over 1 ½ years old and I am a Brittany Spaniel Mix weighing around 46lbs. My foster mom was not sure if she should be writing up my adoption bio or my Tinder profile because I am such a handsome eligible bachelor.

I am currently living with two canine foster siblings who I love and a cat named Fast Eddy. I never try to hurt him but I have definitely realized why he has his name, as I love to chase him around. I don’t live with any kids but I am such a gentle boy that I’d be great with people of all ages. I’m a bit of a food thief so the little humans are my favorite victims to take snacks from.

Despite my good looks and swooning charm, I can be very awkward and do not fully understand personal space. Have a lap? Let me sit on it! I also am not a fan of organized exercise like walks. Maybe it’s because I’m not used to the cold and snow, but I will sulk and protest while you put my sweater and boots on, and then let you drag me out. Instead, I would prefer a fenced backyard where I can run around and be free.

Even the best dates have things they can improve on, am I right? So here are mine. I am not an off leash dog as I have not quite learned the word “stay” and will run to my hearts desire, I am not a dream in the car and I love to taste test items for the counter, tables or your hands when you aren’t looking. Thankfully my good outweighs my bad, and my foster mom is very proud of how far I’ve come with everything (including my questionable random humping). I am crate trained, house trained and am working on my basic commands.
