Hi, my name is Benji, formerly Kola and I am around 3 years old and only around 50lbs.

You may have noticed something about me right away… I’m a freaking cutie!! I mean have you seen my underbite?! But for real, if you’re wondering about my leg, unfortunately I don’t have any cool story to tell since I was rescued from the streets this way! Don’t worry, having 3 legs doesn’t slow me down one bit, I still love to run and play with the dogs in my foster house! It’s one of my favourite things to do, so if you are interested in me, I would love it if you had another dog for me to play with.

I am a medium energy dog who loves a good play session & space to run, but also likes to curl up for a nice long nap afterwards. A fenced yard is mandatory for me as I can scare easily especially in new areas. Recently I met a young person and went up to her right away, which foster mom says is very unlike me. I like calmer, quiet spaces as I can spook if someone moves too fast, but I’m learning not to be scared & I already trust my foster humans so much. I am searching for my fur-ever home that is willing to put in the time to continue my leash training (I bark and get nervous when cars pass me) & who will love my silly, loving personality. I know my basic commands and do my best (with a few reminders) to wait for my meal before I eat, but I will need consistency to continue to be the best boy. I am non-destructive when left at home, but my crate is always left open in case I feel like going in. I am also the best co-pilot, I curl up and snooze the day away!
