Meet MADDI!!!!!  Maddi is around 6 years old and a mixed breed. She was found abandoned and has spent the last few months getting much needed vet care and some TLC from her amazing foster family.

Madison is currently living with 3 other dogs, large and small, and 2 cats. She is respectful to both the dogs and cats. Occasionally tries to chase the cats but not often and not to hurt them.
She has been around kids as young as 2, but due to her size, age and little known about her past we think Maddi would do better with kids over 12.
Madison loves all people!  She is excited and happy to meet people.  She’s always greeting with a wiggly bum and smile.
Maddi has been reactive to other animals, sometimes on leash and sometimes not. She was defeated and quiet when she came into care but has since gained some confidence which has been great!!!!  Unfortunately she still has some fear underlying and her forever home will have to work on continuing to build her confidence. She has been fine with her foster siblings (other than a food squabble) and great with the cats. We are recommending Maddi be the only dog in the home for this reason - we’re really not sure the triggers or reasoning for her reactivity.
Madison knows all her basic obedience and is very well behaved. She can sit, down, stay, “go lay down’ ´go play” “go run”.

She is house trained and non destructive and can therefore be left out when you’re not home. At night she sleeps in bed with a family member or if she feels like it she will go in the dog area. Madison has mostly slept in bed with a family member, she has at times slept with the other dogs in the dog area, she is happy either way but does love to snuggle in bed.

Maddi loves to go everywhere with her people and LOVES car rides. She is happy to travel quietly in the back or front. She LOVES playing ball although bringing it back isn’t her fav part of that game. She is fine sharing her toys and doesn’t exhibit any resource guarding. Food preparation seems to be where she has an issue sharing space, so for this reason we feed separate and she is fine with that. She does eat quickly and uses a slow feeder.
Some notes from Maddi’s foster :
“Maddi is very sweet and gentle, she listens well, she is happy!!  Easy going and great house behaviour. Loves to snuggle and is a very devoted friend.  She makes the cutest “dinosaur noises” when she gets excited.  She loves to stick her head out of the car window.  She is so easy to love.  It would be so easy for us to keep her – we adore her (but we already have 3 dogs!)”
