Hi Everyone! My name is Margie, I’m a 3 year old Maltese Mix weighing around 8lbs and I can’t wait to start the search for my furever home!

Looking for a companion who loves to love you? I’m your girl! Foster mom says I have endless amounts of love to give, a huge cuddler and that I love nothing more then to curl up in your lap, get cradled like the baby I am and to have my tummy rubbed. With my sweetest, does come some sass. I can get a bit snippy and growl when you touch my paws or face. Foster mom has worked hard to get me more comfortable with her doing it but it took a lot of time and patience and I can still be on edge. I’m also quite a tough girl and will bark at strangers but I’m quite food motivated so we bring treats to help with introductions.

Now a little about my perfect home. I’ve stayed in homes with cats and dogs and I was fine with the cats but we’ve found that I need a quieter dog who will respect my space and not be too much in my face. The bigger dogs intimidate me a bit more, so ones more my size are definitely preferred. I am great with both men and women and boy do I LOVE kids! That being said, older and more respectful kids who understand boundaries and warning signals when I’m not comfortable are a must.

I would say I’m a medium energy level, love the lounge life but would like a good play time on own terms. I settle in a crate, but mostly sleep in my bed, I love to play with stuffies and tug of war with chew toys and I do great in car rides (but need to be tethered otherwise I’ll be in your lap) and going new places. I am not vocal when needing to go to the bathroom outside but I’ll wait by the back door, so you’ll just need to keep an eye on me.
